Since I have been working with KST, I have found my maize crop to be the most beneficial and providing me good returns. There are two reasons for it, first, their field staff are very proactive and keep a very good followup on my farms. They provide all sort of assistance to me ranging from weather updates to agronomy consultancy till produce management & harvesting. Other than that, it happened for the first time that are buying my produce at farm gate level and provide all services to me. This has reduced my labor cost, harvesting cost and I am getting handsome livelihood.

KST has made farming enterprising for me and now it is making sense for my livelihood. Their digital solution as well as their field scouts visit my farm on routine basis, and they keep on discussing with me various aspects of farm management and problems related to farming with me. Their assistance has impacted my cost of production significantly. It is now very easy for me to focus my attention on non-performing portions of the field and to apply remedial measures, instead of focusing on the overall field. On the other hand, KST is supported us significantly in maize by produce buy-back and their compteitive prices has increased my livelohood multifolds. It is now only for KST, that we are sowing maize in two turns each year.

ST’s out of the box services has significantly increased my yields from the same fields which were previously not that much productive. Their tools & machines are amazing and helped me reducing my post-harvest losses almost to none. Before, KST’s intervention, the agri produce comoddtites used to be very unpredictable, costly and required a lot of labor, post-harvest losses and financial onus but since they are involved, we are getting advisory on fingertips and selling our produce on stable & competitve rates. Furthermore, they have made us bank accounts & ATM cards which has given us a lot of financial independence as well and our trust with KST has increased multifold. It is now third year in a row that I along with my family are working with KST.

KST has done tremendous job in solving our problem for local dairies here in KPK by working on maize value chain and providing silage & grain to us for feed. GDF is one of the biggest dairies in KP and before KST, there was huge problem of feed arrangements for us especially in terms of silage, corn grains and other necessary feed items like wheat straw, which is the by-product for farmers. We used to buy it from Punjab with hefty supply chain cost and non-efficient logistics support.

They are doing tremendous job by connecting with farmers, processing & value addition and delivering the product to us. By KST’s local intervention and farmers support, the cost of feed for us reduced upto 40% for us because of KST’s local intervention in maize & wheat value chains. Fortunately, KST has got teams specializing in relevant disciplines like machines, agronomy and supply chain. They are fulfilling our requirements, and their delivered prices have made our unit economics positive at least for dairies, at least for us in GDF. We don’t need now specialized department or head count for this purpose.
